Born Mariah Amani Bucklesthe Atlanta-based singer and songwriter is known for combining the depth of analysis with emotional storytelling. Her stage name pays homage to her passion for science, but her music delves into themes of love, heartbreak and personal evolution. Taking inspiration from hip hop, R&B, soul and jazz, Mariah began writing songs while studying biology at St. John’s University. She eventually left school and chose to pursue her music career completely.
For her performance, scientist Mariah kept it extremely chic with a reworked pilot-inspired white blazer decorated with statement badges.
