Yesterday, Disney+ announced that the fourth and final season of “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” will premiere on Wednesday, July 29, ahead of the hit series’ 25th anniversary. Additionally, an all-new stop-motion holiday special, “A Proud Family Wizmas,” will be released on Disney+ later this year.
This news comes on the heels of Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar renewing their overall agreement with Disney Television Animation, part of Disney Kids & Family, for an additional year under their production company BaR Productions. They will continue to write, develop and produce series for platforms across Disney Entertainment Television.
Season 4 finds the Proud family at a life-changing turning point. Penny Proud becomes embroiled in a series of unexpected adventures that test her courage and identity. More action-packed than ever, with a heart-warming and heart-warming twist, the Proud family confronts every new challenge head-on, proving that no matter how chaotic life is, we are strongest when we stand together.
The Season 4 cast includes Kyla Pratt (Penny Proud), Tommy Davidson (Oscar Proud), Paula Jay Parker (Trudy Proud), Jomarie Payton (Sugar Mama), and Cedric. – Includes The Entertainer (Uncle Bobby), Karen Marina White (Dijone Jones), Soleil Moon Frye (Zoe Houser), Alisa Reyes (Lacienega Boulevardez), and Carlos. Mencia (Felix Bourvaldez), Alvaro Gutierrez (Papi), Raquel Lee Borrow (Nubian Gross), Marcus T. Polk (Myron), Melissa de Souza (Sunset Bourvaldez).
New guest stars include Mariah Carey, Romany Malco, Chloe Bailey, Lorraine Toussaint, Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo, Kim Whitley, Dee Nasty, Adele Givens, Ali Wong, JB Smoove, Lashana Lynch, and more, along with regular guests Anthony Anderson (Ray Ray) and Tiffany Haddish (Ms. Hill).
- Proud Family Withmas is a song-filled stop-motion holiday special produced by Disney Television Animation, part of Disney Kids & Families, in conjunction with creator and executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar of BaR Productions, and co-director David Brooks and Portland-based stop-motion studio House Special. Kurt Farquhar returns as songwriter and composer with six new original songs for this holiday special.
