You may not agree with us. This is a very unique runaway of Denzel’s top 20 film Pride himself, as we all have favorites.

Out of time in 2003

Carl Franklin’s thriller is underrated. Yes, it’s over the top and generic, but it’s quite a ride. Especially for the Washington Sheriff, who has relationships with married women and ultimately engages in a sticky business. Washington enjoys the old-fashioned fun that permeates the film.

A vast drama from Ridley Scott. But Washington is fun as the drug boss on the other side of cop/ambitious lawyer Russell Crowe.

1 Malcolm X 1993

Spike and Denzel’s Magnus Opus, Washington, took a year off from other jobs and was immersed in the way civil rights leaders think. It’s more than rewarding. A real masterpiece.
