I’ve been blogging for almost 14 years now (my anniversary is in September!). I’ve covered a ton of topics and I know how easy it is to run out of content. That said, I do keep certain types of posts in my back pocket for those times when I don’t have a lot of content planned for my blog or IG. I wanted to share them here in case you’re in a similar situation with your own content.

Photos of brunch with friends (or food)
Next time you have brunch (or a meal in general) with friends somewhere beautiful, take some time to take some photos of the surroundings and the food. Whether you have a photo of yourself or everything else in it, it will make for an interesting post for your readers. My advice is to actually talk about the place (a mini-review, if you like). This will turn your post from just pretty pictures into something that will actually be useful to people.
Selfie (using new product)
Who doesn’t love a cute selfie? If you don’t want your selfie to be “just another” post, talk about your new lipstick color, sunscreen, earrings, hair accessories, etc. (you know what I mean). Adding extra elements to your selfie post will make people more interested in your content and may get you more engagement than just a “like”. Bonus points? Mention brands. This could lead to sponsorship deals down the line (and show other brands that you actually know how to market to your audience).
Today’s outfit
A staple OOTD is always a good choice, but you can take it a step further by not only showing the fit but also telling us where you wore it. If that seems too personal, tell us about your accessories or why you styled it that way.
BTS at Work/Blog
BTS of what you do can be very interesting, especially if you work in a creative field. If you have a 9-5 job, you can keep your actual business details private (safety first!), but you can show scenes of meetings, interactions with colleagues, going out, receiving products for work, etc.
Coffee shop visit
What do you have for coffee? If you have a favorite place you always go to, ask a friend to take a cute photo when you are together. If you are alone, take a beautiful photo of your drink. Simple but cute!
Beautiful flowers
People love to see beautiful flowers, whether they’re blooming in nature or buying a bouquet from their local florist. If you know how to create your own flower arrangements, you can create content by making videos of you creating them.
Reintroduction
“Let me introduce myself again!” If it’s been a while since you’ve talked about yourself or your blog, or if you’ve gained some new followers, it’s fun to introduce yourself to your community. Not everyone is going to scroll back through your content, so introducing yourself regularly can help you better connect with your audience.
There are many content options you can create, but the above options are always useful.
