I recently received an email from a Cup of Jo reader with a question…
“It’s my 40th birthday this June and I’m planning to host a party in my garden,” Kate wrote. “My anxiety has really increased over the last two years, but I’m hoping to get through things with therapy and move on to a new chapter. I want to feel chic but fun and I’m ready. What’s a special occasion dress that’s not frilly or frizzy? It’s okay to splurge.”
(Almost) Happy birthday, Kate! That’s a really interesting question. I’m really looking forward to having a party. (I hosted my own birthday party last year and it was one of the favorite nights of my life.) Here are some dresses that would work beautifully…
