I am grateful to my AM self. Her morning discipline is the reason I’m always on time for my Pilates classes and early morning work calls. In winter, especially when we are at home, we always seek warmth, comfort and quiet. As the seasons change, I try to follow my intuition and create rituals that respond to what my body needs. In winter, it means being kind to yourself and making space for the things you need to stay productive, engaged, and make each day as meaningful as possible. (Yes, even when I feel the urge to wrap myself in a pile of blankets.)
That’s where my winter night essentials come into play. Even in the morning, you may feel reluctant to move around during the day in winter. Your evening routine gives you the best chance of having a good day. From making my bedroom a conscious transition space to wellness rituals that signal my nervous system that it’s time to relax and restore, my winter night rituals keep me on the right track .

My winter night essentials in my bedroom are more than just objects. They are anchors of intention and carefully chosen to promote restorative rest.
Of course, the highlight is the bed. Getting into bed is a sensory experience. And a good night’s sleep is the Camille-style cure for just about anything. Your skin resets at night. In winter, giving your skin time to repair after facing harsh drying temperatures is the key to glowing skin. However, winter is also the season when people are least motivated to take care of their skin thoroughly. I want to go to bed quickly. (Who else?) The solution: Nutritious products that maximize effectiveness. Think ingredient-rich, multitasking products, and prioritizing overall skin health.
Winter beauty essentials don’t start and end at your bathroom sink. My nightly routine also includes less-fancy beauty essentials like face masks, silk hair bonnets, and wrinkle patches that work wonders overnight. I try to do something “special” a few nights a week. This gives you something to look forward to while promoting beauty sleep.

Beyond your physical space and beauty routine, mindset is key to preparing for the next day. Incorporating headspace into your nighttime routine will help you sleep better. For example, going to bed stressed can wreak havoc on your nervous system and impair your health.
