Are you caught in the third season of White lotus? I’m really. That would be great. Here are five thoughts I had when watching the first two episodes (don’t worry, no spoilers)…
1. The iconic opening song has changed and destroyed the internet. This reel made me laugh.
2. The Ratriv family came to Thailand as Piper, the middle child, wrote a Chapel Hill paper on Buddhism. Her style is very good, especially the blue flower mini dress Ciao Lucia years ago. My friend Lucy said, “It’s an absurd nightgown,” but I disagree! I kept thinking she was everywhere Doen’s Spring Collection.
(Did Patrick Schwarzenegger, who plays his brother, spoof Tom Cruise? I can’t see it.)
3. Next, British party girl Chelsea arrives at the hotel with her gross older boyfriend, Rick. I love her heartfelt optimism. “Chelsea always said, ‘You’re so mysterious, Rick. You don’t say anything. I need to get everything out. I’m an Aries,” says Amy Lou Wood, who plays Chelsea. So were you watching? Before last week, my boyfriend Freddie hadn’t seen one White Lotus episode (!), but he was brave by inhaling both the first and second seasons within a few days.
