Last night I was lucky enough to chat with my food writer friend Adam Roberts About his funny new novel, and I laughed a million times…

We met at Brooklyn Heights Librarythis was bright and busy (it feels very pleasant for this era and age!).

When we entered the room we found this table stacked up in Adam’s debut novel, Food guy. His comedy of manners follows Isabella, an unemployed food writer. Isabella agrees to ghost-writing the cookbook for a starlet who behaves badly, hoping to revive her career and reputation. The writing is hilarious and thoughtful, and how great is its cover? !

Adam’s husband Craig (left) gasped after running to three different branches of the library. We all loved Adam’s shirts with embroidered dinner ingredients.

It was also a snack to meet Adam’s editor Jenny Jackson and assistant editor Tiara Sharma.

More people poured into the room, including our beloved Jenny (who had just got a new haircut!).

I found someone wearing it in New York and Paris. What about the Microtrends Report at Brooklyn Heights Library in Cadman Plaza? gingham! (here it is Pants – Skirt that looks like a look The left side is the same Gingham Tote and Polka dot skirt. )

After everyone sat down, Adam and I went on stage! It was so nice to chat about books, food, marriage, everything.
