“When I read those words, I felt so proud. I thought it was so cool, especially to witness that in that moment where it was just such an accepted statement. I was actually really impressed. ”
“I said this line was my favorite line of the entire special because on a personal level, it really spoke to my own journey of discovery, sexuality, and gender expression. And I think it’s a continuous discovery and a gentle thing.” He showed it in a very beautiful way. And I felt so proud of Waverly,” they added.

“I also love that these people, their sexuality, their gender identity, is part of who they are, but it’s not all of them. They’re not all the same. What a concept. ”Andrus added. . “I certainly think television has evolved since 2016 to tell these stories and nuanced characters.”
