The Republican Senate Leadership Fund has spent more than $1 million airing ads attacking Sen. Jon Osssoff (D-Ga.) on the issue of transgender participation in sports.

The conservative super PAC ad highlights the senator’s opposition to the “Fair and Safe Athletic Opportunity Act.” This is a legislative bill that seeks to enforce the law a prohibiting transgender athletes from competing with female-designated sports teams.

The bill seeks to amend Title IX, a federal law that prohibits gender discrimination in government-funded schools, explicitly banning schools from allowing trans women and girls to compete as women.

It defined gender as fixed at birth and based solely on reproductive biology and genetics at birth. The bill did not apply to school-sponsored sports teams, but to school little league teams, physical education classes, and university sports teams on campus.

It won a majority vote in the Republican-led Senate, but failed to gain enough support from Democrats to meet the 60-vote threshold needed to move it forward.

Ossov’s office argued that the bill would likely be enacted by requiring athletes who wish to submit to invasive physical examinations, including the genitals, to ensure that women and women’s sports teams are women.

Democrats called the bill the “Child Predator Empowerment Act” and argued that it could not address major issues affecting female athletes, including sexism and unequal funding.

The ad will run during the Atlanta Braves baseball game airing. (Already run during the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball Final Four game.)

It features basketball players who play against a group of Ossov female athletes, smacking basketball from the hands of cisgender female athletes, blocking shots, pushing down female athletes, and screaming at contestants while hanging from the rims while filming three-pointers and slam dunks. Ossov condemns “radical left running point.”

“American parents don’t need federal officials to check our children’s genitals,” said Ellie Dorgerty, a spokesman for the Ossoff campaign. axios According to the ad. “The Athletic Association and local school districts can ensure fair and safe competition in childhood athletics.”

The attack comes when Republicans try to fill their margins in the U.S. Senate by knocking out vulnerable Democrat senators, placing Ossoff, who represents Georgia, straight in their crosshairs.

Ossoff knows he is vulnerable and raised more than $11 million in first quarter funding. hill.

Republicans across the country attacked Democrats for their intimacy with the transgender community, believing they discovered a wedge issue that would benefit among voters who allow transgender women to compete as women.

Last year, Republicans, including President Trump, spent about $215 million on anti-transgender ads that attacked Democrats to support transgender participation for people who were incarcerated and taxpayer-funded gender violation surgeries.

As certain ads slamming Kamala Harris into the latter issue resonated with voters, it is believed that Harris and Democrats portray them well from their American stages, leading to a Republican victory that moves up and down tickets.

Two Democratic candidates — Rep. Colin Allred of Texas and Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio — have released ads desperately denounced the presence of transgender competitors in women’s sports, but have not been able to separate themselves from the Nationalist Party brand.

Other Democrats, along with Tom Suozzi (DN.Y.) and Seth Moulton (DN.Y.) representatives in conflict with women’s sports, tried to distance themselves from transgender rights.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has shifted to the right, reflecting Republican criticism of Democrats’ position on social issues, perhaps in the hopes of a possible White House run.
