The images of Pope Francis’ virus, with the gay pride flag, have resurfaced on social media after the death of the clergy, but they are not real.

On April 21, the Vatican announced that Pope Francis, the first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church, had passed away at the age of 88.

His death, the Vatican said, was brought in due to a brain stroke that led to coma and a disruption in his cardiovascular system, but continues to lament LGBTQ+ Catholics who remember his legacy, including support for the LGBTQ+ community.

After his death, Greek social media users We have begun re-sharing images showing him being wrapped in a Pride flag.

Some posts include anti-LGBTQ+ captions, labeling the late Pope “irresponsible” and “perversion.”

One post shared on Facebook was captioned. “Pope Francis has passed away. Perhaps the most demonic Catholic perverted Catholic villain of the past 200 years has passed away.”

However, circular images dating back to 2023 are not realistic and in reality AI is generated. The image shows a “clear visual contradiction.” According to AFP.

Speaking of contradictions, during his decade of Pope Service, Pope Francis oversaw the Catholic Church with Flax on the acceptance of LGBTQ+ people. Pope Francis often supported the LGBTQ+ community, but was unable to fully maintain his rights in other areas.

He was said to have used homophobic slur during his meeting with the bishop about allowing single gay men to train as priests. At the closed door meeting, the Pope is believed to have said that there are already too many “Frosiagins” in the seminary.

The Vatican issued an apology, claiming that the Pope supported the LGBTQ+ community. “The Pope had no intention of angering or expressing himself in homophobic terms. He apologises to those who felt pissed off by the use of the terminology reported by others,” the message states.
