Nigella Lawson’s campest innuendos as she’s confirmed for Bake Off

With the news that Dame Prue Leith is resigning Great British Bake Off, TV cook and camping icon Nigella Lawson has been named as her successor.

Broadcaster Channel 4 announced the news on Monday, January 26, saying Nigella would take over the series as Proulx’s successor.

Nigella, who will join Paul Hollywood as a judge, said in a statement:

“Of course, it’s daunting to follow in the footsteps of the great women Prue Leith and Mary Berry, but I’m also buzzing with excitement.”

She added: “The Great British Bake Off is more than just a TV show, it’s a national treasure and it’s a huge honor to be given the role.

“I’m so happy to be joining the team and the new batch of bakers that are coming. I wish Prue all the best and I’m blindly grateful for this opportunity.”

Her fans declare that she is the only woman qualified for the job and the perfect person to finance Paul Hollywood. The TV cook is known for her love of sassy innuendos and carefree charisma, and has earned quite a reputation.
