Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, located approximately 140 miles from neighboring Luxembourg, Germany, is a major medical hub for the U.S. military. It is known for providing world-class care to American military personnel, especially those injured in combat.

In a statement, Pelosi, 84, thanked U.S. military personnel at Landstuhl and medical professionals at Kirchberg Hospital in Luxembourg for their “excellent care and kindness.”

“The Honorable Speaker Pelosi is recovering well,” Crager said, adding that she is grateful for the outpouring of prayers and well wishes.

Because of her injury, Pelosi was unable to attend the remaining events of her congressional delegation honoring World War II service members.

“Speaker Pelosi enjoys the outpouring of prayers and well wishes and remains determined to ensure that all Americans have access to quality health care,” Crager said.

Pelosi is expected to return to the United States soon, but a specific date has not been announced.
