Pop Icon Kesha will release a new album later this year under her new independent label Kesha Records on July 4th. The album includes the 2024 singles “Joyride” and “Fantasy.”

Speaking about the current political situation in the United States, she explained: “Trans Visibility Day is thinking about what the trans community was. The queer community was my community and I’ve always been there for me. That’s where I belong.

“And beyond that, as you said, I want the marginalized people to know that they have someone who is an ally, a warrior. As someone who took away her freedom about basic human rights and fought like hell, I am going to do my job through my work through my work.”

The “liberty has been taken away” is likely a reference to the long legal battle between the singer of “Tik Tok” released by Dr. Luke’s record label after Kesha accused music producer of drugs and rape him. Dr. Luke, Lucas Gottwald, vehemently denied the allegations.

Kesha has been a long-time LGBTQ+ ally and continues to support the queer community with new music releases.
