Bondi did not state the amount, but said the graphics on the Fox News Channel Show are over $1.5 million.

“They kept him in a women’s prison,” she said. “Now. We’ll withdraw your funds, protect women in prisons, protect women in sports, protect women throughout this country.”

In fact, trans women are at risk of harassment and violence when they are housed in men’s prisons.

The Maine Department of Corrections has issued a statement that it has received notification that federal funds have ended for three programs. “The department is assessing the impact on services from the end of these funding,” the statement continued. “The department is aware of relevant official statements by the U.S. Attorney General, but the notification is the only communications received by the department.”

The end of certain funds is in line with Donald Trump’s anti-trans executive order, Bondy said. “We were right to do that,” she said. Fox and friends. “President Trump has the right to determine where money goes and where federal money goes.” However, under the US Constitution, Congress controls funding, allowing the president to propose budgets and propose signing or rejecting bills related to them. And an order to keep trans women out of women’s prisons is being contested in court.

The USDA has suspended funding for certain programs in Maine. Because the state allows trans girls and women to compete in women’s sports. Trump and Maine Democratic Gov. Janet Mills exchanged intense language with trans athletes at a national association of governors’ meeting at the White House in February.

Maine Attorney General Aaron M. Frey filed a lawsuit Monday seeking a temporary restraining order, saying that, contrary to promises from USDA and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, the federal government withheld funds used to feed school children and disabled people.
