Travel companions Characters and pretty silly.In Thursday’s episode Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jonathan revealed the process of removing his prosthetic penis (try saying that five times quickly) on the last day of filming, and what the costume department did with it.Three-time Emmy-nominated series Travel companions The series follows the volatile romance between Hawkins Fuller (Matt Bomer) and Tim Laughlin (Jonathan) over a 40-year span, spanning major global events such as the Lavender Riots of the 1950s, the Vietnam War protests of the 60s and the AIDS crisis of the 80s.Tim has gone through a lot of changes over the years – his hairstyle, moustache, glasses – but Jonathan reveals that “one thing has remained the same.”When host Seth Meyers asked him if he had any input into the decision-making process regarding his prosthetics, Jonathan replied, “Well, one hand.”Jonathan explained, “When we first started filming, obviously we were wearing protective gear to protect ourselves, so it doesn’t feel unnatural, but because of the nature of the show, we want to choose things that reflect what’s really happening.”Seth then Censored photos A blurry photo of the prosthetic penis Jonathan took on set. “They’re all different personalities,” he says. “When you approach a character, you have to think emotionally, think intellectually, and make really big choices.”Seth said, “Is that what you did? big Do I have a choice?’” Jonathan quickly responded, “No, no, I think that’s fair, I believe everyone should have the right to representation.”And just as Seth was about to show him another picture, Jonathan quickly hid it. “No!” he yelled, grabbing another photo. “Wait, wait, wait. I want to show you this first.”Jonathan began by thanking “so many people who supported me” on production, including the make-up and costume departments – “My amazing costume assistant Beth gave me a lift on the last day” – before sharing a photo of himself wearing a nude protective layer complete with googly eyes and Tim’s prosthetic penis in place of a nose.In the next photo, Jonathan revealed, “I got home and opened my suitcase and found the same prosthetic penis face with the funny googly eyes in my luggage.”in Travel companionsEvery sex scene between Tim and Hawke was carefully prepared by the episode’s bosses, producers and intimacy coordinators, according to Entertainment Weekly.
