winner of rupaul’s drag race uk Season 6 will feature what she said to the runner-up after winning the crown, the need for drag kings on the series, and why filming the show was “the happiest I’ve ever been.”

Warning: Contains unpleasant spoilers ahead.

Well, kids, we did it. season 6 of drag race uk After 10 glorious weeks in one of the Greatest Seasons Ever, Kailan Thrax and his accomplice Susie have acquired a crown, a scepter, and more trash bags than even a wig can shake.

It would be no exaggeration to say that Kairan embodies competition. The 26-year-old turned heads in just the first week, winning his first badge of the season when he lip-synced top two against La Voie after the talent show.

She won two more for this season’s Snatch Game and Acting Challenge and kept it at one for a breezy 10 weeks before once again competing against La Voie for the lip-syncing crown.

spoke to Pink News the day after her win and her acceptance. drag race ukDespite winning the first-ever prize money (£25,000), it’s clear this is no ordinary reign.

“Today is Eternal Bin Day. This isn’t just a one-year reign, baby, you’re stuck with me,” Kailan happily tells Pink News via Zoom, with a brand new Susie is shown holding jewelry.

“With that money and this reign, I can put on the biggest and best shows and do the biggest and best things I can do. I’ll work hard. And I’ll make a room out of trash bags.”

In fact, Kiran eventually came to collect, but faced stiff competition from La Voie. The season’s frontrunner in terms of badges heading into the finale.

By the end of the season, the two have become inseparable, and it looks like that will continue.

“Topping La Voie meant absolutely everything to me,” Kiran says with a twinkle in her eye. “I love her so much and I respect her so much. It’s been great to be on this ride with her. I care about her very much and I love the work we do together. I’m excited.”

For those who were expecting behind-the-scenes information, sorry to disappoint (it’s not). Because Kailan shares that she and La Voie “basically sat there having a panic attack” after the finale played. Love was the only thing that decided the winner.

“She turned to me and said, ‘You did it,’ and I just said, ‘I love you.’ And at the end, there was a little clip of us just hugging each other for minutes. We couldn’t let each other go. ”

Kiran’s favorite unseen moment in the series also happens to involve La Voie, and happened backstage at the first runway show. And please brace yourself. Because even Kailan admits there can be moments where you “had to be there.”

“We were about to do the runway for the first episode, and me and La Voie were talking, and one of the queens said, ‘What time do you think it is?’ La Voie turned to me and said, “I’d like to say six.” And I thought, “What?” Only six? ”

“You know when your teacher scolds you in the back of the class and it gets so funny? That’s literally what happened.”

It wasn’t just that moment that I wasn’t hired. Kailan also revealed on “Total Exclusive” that he “almost killed Michelle Visage” during the season. I actually hate it Acting challenge using flying cue cards.

That scene was a parody love, actuallyThe infamous Carol scene where Andrew Lincoln’s character holds up a placard and confesses his love for Keira Knightley. of drag race In the version, Hugh Grant of Cailan did something similar to La Voie. But by flinging those cards around, the crew, including Michelle Visage, became unwanted targets.

“I almost accidentally knocked Michelle and the crew unconscious!” Kiran laughs. “I never told anyone about this because I had forgotten that something like this happened. In the scene where I held up the card and threw it, I was throwing it really hard on the first take. The crew didn’t want to make the cut, so they just stayed out of the way and avoided all of these cards.

“The first moment I spoke to Michelle off camera was me saying, ‘I’m so sorry I almost killed you with that card.’ But we won!”

Talking to Kiran, it’s clear she loved this time very much. drag raceand the new winner admits that he was “the happiest of my life” while filming the show. In fact, she’ll probably need to take a call from Lou at least all winners All Stars, she’s a clear yes – already.

“Listen, if RuPaul calls me now, I’ll be back tomorrow. I’ll be there, I’ll be there,” she laughs. “At the end of the finale, as I was leaving and packing up, I turned around and said, ‘Can I do 10 more episodes?’ It was a happy space for me. I was waiting in front of the phone. ”

The Queen of Bottle herself was also known for playing numerous male characters during her career. drag race Tenure: Hugh Grant, George Michael in Rusical, Elvis in Snatch Game. So should her success in these roles pave the way for the first-ever drag king to appear on the show?

“I don’t see any reason why not. Drag kings are really amazing people and they’re a huge part of the drag industry,” she says. “If there’s anything that shows they’re good, it’s that I won multiple challenges as a male character!”

You heard a woman’s voice. It’s Bin Day now, and forever. And what exactly is Kiran’s MO in his reign?

“I cherish everyone who has supported and loved me, including my family, friends, partner, my little sausage dog, my young nephew, Franco, and everyone who has even left an emoji under my name. I’m going to make all of those people proud after this. ”

And she added: “I don’t wear any antiperspirant, I’ll tell you that.” For free, I say I’m going to go full commando year-round. So enjoy it everyone! ”
