This is annoying, Disney. (Lillo & Stitch)
Disney TV’s official Tiktok account shares a set of “They were roommates” memes and I think they may have missed the point.
The viral internet joke that has been knocking for almost a decade sees the historical misconceptions of same-sex and queer couples as nothing more than friends.
According to @CaleBsaysSthings, known as Twitter, one particularly popular tweet about The Meme was, “Unfortunately I have never found a wife. A collection of elaborate scarves sold for $1.2 million in 2011, sold by him and his closest male friend Chauncey, who had shared a bed. They were known for dinner.”
The “Roommate” meme went viral on the short sharing platform Grapes, but was moved to Tiktok thanks to fandom and LGBTQ+ ships.
The operator of Disney TV’s social media accounts tried to play around with jokes, but they didn’t seem to understand the heart of the meme, sharing photos of Disney brand siblings and peers with Disney brand siblings, including Farb, Lilo and Stitch, and Mabel and Dipper’s Pine.

The mixup entertains fans, and one person writes on social media.
Another thing I noticed is that Disney posts were being deleted – immediately – said, “I’ll take a screenshot of this before it’s deleted.”
Someone else joked: “It’s actually essential for your social media person [permanently] If you want to try something like this, then online. ”
This post was released shortly after the release of the first trailer for live action adaptation Lilo & Stitch.
The hit 2002 animated film has been rebooted and tells the story of Lilo, a lonely Hawaiian girl who becomes friends with Stitch, an alien experiment.

The trailer sparked controversy for a variety of reasons. Some felt betrayed by the lack of gender-bending disguise by agent Pleakley. He is portrayed as a human man instead.
“Look at what they did to our diva,” one user wrote on X/Twitter, while another said, “Why does Pleakley look like that?”
