“People come up to us and ask, ‘Why was the costume change in ‘I Don’t Dance’ so iconic?'” the pair joked about the theory, saying that ultimately it was up to director Kenny Ortega to decide.
“There’s so much meaning in the lyrics of ‘I Don’t Dance’ already, and I think that was the clincher,” Blue said.
“The lines had been drawn and we were messing it up,” Grabeel added.
