The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday was OK to confirm the county’s commitment to combat young bullying, Local news is important Report. The county is located just south of San Francisco.

The resolution “instructs county departments and employees to prevent bullying, provide education and make efforts to intervene in the event of bullying,” the site points out.
The board also voted on Tuesday to recognize it as transgender day for visibility next Monday. The Transpride flag was raised on the county flagpole on Wednesday.
“For everyone who is part of this community, we will meet you, we will be with you, and we are committed to celebrating your beauty, your love, our pride and your joy,” Director Noelia Corzo, the new liaison officer for the county’s LGBTQIA+ committee, said at the ceremony, according to a local paper. “San Mateo County will lead, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have much more to do,” Corzo added. “I would like to thank the committee for the continued work that encouraged us to provide a more welcome and safer community to all LGBTQIA+ community members in the county.” Those attending the ceremony waved their own little transpride flag.
Ishani Dagger, lead trainer and peer group coordinator at San Mateo County Pride Center, spoke at the event about the importance of vision. “You wear flags or if you have them, you can raise the flags, share pronouns with people, push back those who are correct assumptions about the identity they hold, others in their space are happy with the transphobic language or who assume that there are no trans people,” says Dugar.
Pride Centre will be holding an online trance 101 workshop on Thursdays from 6 to 8pm. On Friday, we will host a family-friendly trans kids mixer from 6pm to 7:30pm
