The Broadway Bears have been undercover this year, but as always, that won’t last long.
A long, anything-goes fundraising campaign has revealed a theme for 2026. Broadway Bears: License revoked; A spy-inspired spectacle that leans into intrigue, fantasy, and all things skinship. Think secret agents and dual personalities. Produced with out-of-this-world choreography, the event has become a staple of New York’s queer scene.
The event will take place on June 21st at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and will feature more than 200 dancers performing high-concept numbers about espionage, from sophisticated undercover operations to full-throttle reveals. Performances will take place at 9:30pm and midnight.
From these first images, the atmosphere is turbocharged spycraft with flashy fantasy. Red phone booth centerpieces, leather harnesses, thigh-high boots, and characters drawn directly from pop culture’s spy canon are shoehorned into something much simpler.
ticket Prices start at $75 and include VIP options such as premium seating, backstage access, and even a private cocktail party hosted by Tony Award-winning creative force Jerry Mitchell. kinky boots, hair sprayand of course, the Broadway Bears.
Behind the spectacle, the Broadway Bears continue their decades-long mission. Creator broadway cares/Equity Fights AIDS is an annual event that raises vital funds for people living with HIV and other serious illnesses. It has raised more than $31 million to date.
