Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson Kiss in New ‘Verity’ Trailer

Dakota Johnson and Anne Hathaway star in new romantic thriller veritybased on the best-selling novel by Colleen Huber. Dubbed by a longtime reader verity It’s one of Hoover’s darkest and most chaotic books, and the first trailer fully leans into its disturbing energy.

A catastrophic accident prevents Verity from completing her best-selling series, and Rowen is called in to complete the remaining books. But as the family sorts through Verity’s notes and drafts in their isolated home, Loewen discovers deeply unsettling writing that blurs the line between confession and fiction. Did we mention that Rowen is also in love with Verity’s husband Jeremy? It’s all very awkward.

What’s going on inside the Crawford family?

The trailer wastes no time building up the tension. Rowen wanders through the vast house in a silk nightgown and finds Jeremy Crawford sitting on a couch. The two share a heated moment that quickly turns into something even more sinister. In one shocking scene, Jeremy suddenly transforms into Verity and forces Rowen into a kiss before smiling bloody. Cue Rowen’s screams and our immediate intrigue.

“Just know one thing: There’s no light where we’re going. There’s darkness ahead,” Verity warns in the trailer.

Honestly? The whole thing feels like a fever dream wrapped in gothic romance and psychological horror.

who is behind verity?

Josh Hartnett, Brady Wagner, Asel Swango, and Daniel Echevarria round out the cast. verity. The thriller will be directed by Michael Showalter from a script by Nick Antosca. Producers include Antosca, Alex Hedlund, Stacey Sher, Showalter, Jordana Mollick, Anne Hathaway and Hoover, with Dakota Johnson serving as executive producer along with Kelly Orent and Lauren Levine.
