Liz elaborated, “I’m back again.” dead to mein the case of Christina Applegate, I don’t think people thought of her as a dramatic actress. And she was incredible. I think it was a very positive experience to work with someone who was seen one-sidedly, like a sitcom, and then was allowed and given material that really showed her range. I thought, I want to continue that.

So it was a great experience to be able to go into that depth with Lisa and Ray. Lydia is much closer to Lisa than many other characters she has played. Lisa has great intelligence. It takes someone that smart to play a role like Phoebe. [from Friends]. She’s very smart and has such a rich soul and depth. I didn’t even really know what to say to her, but I said, “I think a lot of people are already on board for this part.” I don’t think this is about reaching for something you have to find. ”

And Ray immediately empathizes with this man who is trying to live a normal life. He’s just being dressed and pressured. Ray also has three sons. He had a completely easygoing approach to work, yet still worked incredibly hard. He wrote all the backstories for his characters and shared them with me. ”

Liz added: “It’s a real pleasure to be able to provide material that not only challenges and stretches the actors, but also allows us to see all of their dynamics.

Of course nothing beats this friend and everyone loves raymondright? But that’s its own thing. I love sitcoms. I love working with multicam, but this is something completely different. And when you live long enough to tell the tougher stories, it’s an incredible feeling to be able to tell them with such great actors. ”
