13.

“My father had three wives, and my mother was the youngest. I had a very successful childhood. Having three mothers was a great thing. If I didn’t get something from one of them, I’d ask for another. Seriously. Lots of brothers and sisters. However, looking back, my father and I both agree that I may not have received the personal attention I may have needed as a child.

“Anyway, my happy life changed around the time I was 14 or 15. We woke up and found out that wife #2 had taken me and the kids in the middle of the night. They were my sisters and brother. We were devastated. My parents tried to protect us from a lot of the fallout, but it was pretty inevitable.”

I’m 30 years old now and have no relationship whatsoever with my wife’s half-brothers and sisters. My mother and father are still happily monogamous and I have two brothers who I love. However, as I grew older, I realized that the family was not as happy as I had expected. There was a lot of resentment around, but no one was forced to do anything. Everyone participated in it as consenting adults.

I don’t know if that affects my view of love. I don’t mind it at all as long as there is consent from all parties and there is open communication if anyone wants to do it. ”
