What are Grand Cross Houses in Astrology?
a Grand Cross Four houses are formed in conjunction. We are not talking about planets, we are talking about all the houses being in a Grand Cross configuration. This chart is easy to read and will benefit you in the long run. Open your mind to new portals into your subconscious mind.
These houses are connected in your life. For example: 1st house is connected to 4th house, 4th house is connected to 7th house, 10th house is connected to 1st house. Everything you do in any of these houses will be reflected in the other three houses. All other houses have the same connection. For those who don’t believe, here is an explanation.
1st House of Self– You decide to do something stupid like ending your marriage because you think you have found something better. This will be reflected in all the other three houses. This is possible even if you have no planets in any of the houses. If you read the chart blank, you will be shocked. You can do a full reading using a blank chart with your own ascendant. (See chart below)
4th House: Family– Your decision to end your marriage will cause your home life to fall apart. The Cusp ruler gives you a lot of information. You or your ex-spouse will have to move. Now, this is the 1st square house, so it will be a hassle for either of you to find a suitable place to live. If you have a family, it will get even more complicated. (See chart below)
Partner’s 7th House– Your relationships will undergo major changes in your life. The rulers of the cusps will tell you a lot about these people. People you considered close friends will no longer want to associate with you and will choose your ex-partner as their close friend. Generally you will be forced to find new people who can become your close friends again. The 7th house rules close friends or associates. The 11th house rules acquaintances. (See diagram below)
The 10th House of Reputation– Everyone thinks you are stupid for ending the relationship. It depends on whether it is towards you or towards your ex-partner. The cusp ruler says it all. Now you have to rebuild your reputation 10th again. It will take time as all the other 3 houses are influencing this house. Your own family will either approve or disapprove of your separation or divorce. You will feel a loss emotionally and mentally and will be physically affected by this event. The trauma of this event (4th house) will affect your work, your body and how your close friends see you. (See chart below)
I hope this little exercise helps you in your astrology practice. By doing this you mentally learn to train your mind to see things that you would never see in all the other items in your chart. Remember that to be a good astrologer you have to stretch your mind. Doing horary astrology will also help you see new portals in your chart. With all the stuff people put in their charts right now it keeps your mind from expanding. When I see charts posted with everything added I know it is an astrologer in training. If you cannot read a simple blank chart like below then it is time to help you start opening portals to your inner heart to expand your consciousness.
