If you stand in front of your wardrobe and feel like you don’t know what to wear, it could be the default for a timeless pairing of the default classic button-down and jeans. This is a simple formula with a dramatic atmosphere that can be shifted according to the styling. Choosing a spacious shirt with supple, fluid fabric will relax, revert and cool the results. If you choose a more crisp or tailored, it suddenly looks refined, calm and pulls together.
The same goes for jeans. A light wash or leaning-down fit keeps things casual. It also replaces dark denim and structured cuts to instantly sharpen the silhouette. But the shirts and jeans do a lot of heavy lifting, which is the shoes I really pilot the tone of the outfit. No matter what version I wear, slusty, soft, sharp and clever – discovered that the peeping mule brings out the best in both.

Proveing my theory, Dua Lipa went to Paris with a completely relaxed iteration of my favorite styling formulas. The singer picked a refreshing shirt in a bright blue shade, partially buttoned out her shirt, just like that, worn over her straight leg jeans. Worn with a peek-in-the-mule in a shiny brown shade, Lipa’s shoes added just the right hints of the skin, making the entire ensemble feel instantly ready for summer. In fact, the appeal of peeping lies in the balance. It provides sandals ease, heel construction, and plenty of exposure to make them feel light and fresh.
For some reason, it has always been a popular style among fashion people. Perhaps because it offers a more trend-driven alternative to classic pumps. Anyway, in my opinion, there are very few summer outfits that don’t benefit from this shoe addition. And when paired with a forever chic shirt and jean combo, Peep Piece mule feels like they’re at home.
