You’ve been telling us for years what brands are emerging in the plus size community. You nominated. you voted. You made your voice loud and clear. Then life happened, the world changed, and we paused.
But here’s what the plus size fashion industry will look like in 2026. I don’t You will be able to function without any more responsibilities. The community has too much information, too much influence, and is tired of being ignored.
That’s why we’re bringing back the TCF Readers Choice Awards. Not just because it definitely felt like the right time. We brought this platform back because we need a platform that reflects what we actually think about the brands, creators, designers, and retailers that serve this space. And they have a right to know exactly where they stand.
Why is this moment important?
The plus size fashion market is worth billions of dollars. The community that promotes it is still fighting for basic expression, consistent sizing, and the kind of quality and style that is freely offered to straight-size shoppers without a second thought.
We’ve seen brands launch plus-size lines with big fanfare, then quietly discontinue them. I’ve seen “sizes included” used as a marketing phrase without any support for the actual size range. I’ve seen collections stop at 2X and call it expansion. We’ve watched the runways, campaigns, and editorial spreads and noticed who’s in and who’s not.
The TCF Readers Choice Awards are here to cut through all of that. This is not a paid ranking. There is no brand sponsorship that influences who is nominated or wins. This is simple and straightforward in community terms. Your nominations will shape your ballot. Your vote will decide the winner. That’s the point.
what we ask of you
Name a brand, person, or retailer that has truly earned your loyalty. Think about the people who have dressed you appropriately, represented you authentically, and shown up in this community in more than just words.

This year, there are 25 categories, spanning everything from your favorite plus-size denim brands, to plus-size workwear brands that are finally dressing professionally, to occasion-wear brands that are showing up for big moments, to indie boutiques that are quietly doing great work, to the creators and designers who are shaping the current look and feel of plus-size fashion.
This year is also the year we added the category “Brand We Want to See Do Better,” which was requested by many of you. Because holding space for progress means recognizing where the gaps still exist.
Why your nomination is an act of advocacy
When you nominate a brand, you signal to the entire industry what excellence looks like in this field. It’s important when independent plus-size designers are nominated alongside major retailers. If a brand known for stopping at 1X isn’t on the list, that’s important too.

The plus-size fashion industry is taking note of what’s happening in this community. The TCF Readers Choice Awards have always been a mirror to the market, showing exactly where it stands with the people it claims to serve.
Your recommendation is a data point. Direction. This is a request.

This is the first year we’ve opened nominations to the community, and that’s by design. The plus size fashion landscape is changing, the conversation is getting louder, and the people who actually shop, follow, and show up every day have a right to have a direct say in who gets the flowers. For the first time in TCF history, voting begins below. you.

Nominations are currently being accepted June 15th. This is the first step, and an important one. Brands, creators, and retailers who participate in official voting are there because the community nominated them there. If you want your favorite brand to win, you must first nominate it.
Visit the nomination form, select your category and tell us who deserves recognition. You can nominate across as many categories as you need. The candidates with the most numbers advance to the official voting round, and that’s when the real competition begins.
