The October Forecast – Julia Berolzheimer

It was our first full fall in our new home and October already feels full of the best ways. We look forward to experiencing our first fall holiday here. We have booked Halloween, held several events and planned Thanksgiving. I’ve been working on Halloween decorations this week (and of course taking into account the girl’s requirements). The first room we designed at home is finally being prepared. The girl’s room has several updates, including fresh paint, new window treatments, and rugs.

I kicked off the moon with my release Kirte collaborationthis was such a rewarding project. And now we’re stuffing our heads somewhere on the weekends. Let’s take a peek at what we’re doing, wearing, buying and looking this month.

What we do

  • We kick the moon on a trip to England and Ireland for a girl’s fall break. From London, then in the country, and finally to Ireland, visiting my sister, brother-in-law, nephew. I can’t wait to explore with the girls and Thomas is running his first marathon in Ireland!
  • Preparations for Halloween are underway. As this is our first year, we decorate our homes almost 200 years ago, so we have a lot to work with. I’ve ordered it Twelve of these skeletons “climb” the front of the house– Now I’m actually trying to find a way to create it!
  • I ordered a girl’s Halloween costume a few weeks ago. The ceramic barn is always delivered to the Princess Faley Light Up Front. Goldie chose This fairy butterfly costumeand Clementine chose two: This purple witch’s thing and This candy fairy. I always get two. One is for school and the other is for Halloween night. This year, we will match Clem This capeblack hat, and a black lace dress.
  • My collection with Kirte It was released this week. We celebrated last night by holding a dinner at our house. It’s a whole new direction for the brand, and I love how collaboration develops both sides creatively. I’m very proud of how this came together.
  • The major big deals on Amazon will be coming next week. Here is what I suggest saving to buy:
  • I’ll be posting a “What I’m Packing” video for England and Ireland later this week trade off (For paid subsack subscribers).

    What I’m wearing

  • Aeyde suede boots – Pack these for our trip. I already know they’ll be repeated
  • Hunter Bell Fake Burgundy Skirt – It’s coming with me too
  • Pillbox hat – My first! I’ll still decide if I can pull it off, but I’ll give it a try in London
  • Cashmere Triangle Scarf – I have it in both colorways. I love the bold pop that adds
  • Maegel Coronel Bodysuit – My challenging statement with a fall skirt
  • Leopard print jeans
  • Jamie Haller Penny Loafers – These feel like butter
  • Missoni Dress – Please come with me
