Corinne Monet is a queen in her field and is redefining luxury with her multi-brand Envysaje Atelier. The Houston, Texas native just returned from France where she showcased her skills at the Bomb Fashion Show.
“I just got back to the U.S. from the south of France, where I’ve been living with my boyfriend for the past seven months, to take a breather and find inspiration to rebrand,” Monette said.
Her rebranding came almost a decade after she graduated from college and taught herself to sew by watching YouTube tutorials and online resources.
As a self-taught designer, Monet faced many challenges and obstacles, but she never gave up. Eager to learn, she sourced quality fabrics and learned to design through trial and error. She saw everything that came her way as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Once she began sharing her brand on social media and her followers realized she could sew, she began to gain attention and maximum exposure. “My followers started asking me to make them jackets and dresses,” Monette explains. “I make everything from swimsuits to jackets, prom dresses, and wedding dresses.”

She started with custom designs but then branched out into ready-to-wear, cosmetics, and men’s clothing, eventually diversifying her brand, “Envysaje.” “My brand is also an all-inclusive brand because I know how important it is for plus-size people to find really great fashion in stores,” says Monette.
Following inspiration from her time living in Europe, she moved away from color and prints, opting for more neutral colors that can be seen throughout her collection during New York Fashion Week.
“I’ve been to LA and London Fashion Week, but this is my first time to be at New York Fashion Week, especially with one of my favorite fashion blogs,” Monette said. “It’s a pretty big deal for me, and knowing how big Fashion Bomb Daily is, I’m really grateful for the opportunity.”
Colin Monette started from the bottom and is now living her dream: she created her own opportunities with the resources at hand and wowed attendees with her cutting edge designs.
