This spring, blouses are an important piece that should be built into the center of your outfit, rather than added at the end. What conveys the message most is movement. Lightweight silk, chiffon, and cotton naturally shape as they leave your body.
Ruffles are still present, placed along the neckline, sleeves, or hem, adding intentional detail. Volume is revealed through the voluminous sleeves and balanced with clean lines throughout the body.
Printing is where things get interesting. Paisley, mixed florals and layered patterns are common, often in slightly unexpected color combinations. You could say it’s collected rather than coordinated.
They come in a variety of shapes, with some cropped drapes and longer styles, almost tunic-like, while a few take things more directional with asymmetrical or scarf-inspired cuts. Then there are more classic blouses, finished with pleats, lace or delicate embroidery.
