There was an atmosphere of cautious optimism about ~ London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026After several years of feeling like the ground has loosened somewhat, this season seems to have turned a long-awaited corner. I’m really happy to report this london fashion week It felt like it was much more robust than the past few seasons.

With a 10 percent increase in the number of live attendees and runway shows compared to last season (41 runway shows and 20 presentations in fall 2026), London’s iconic fashion scene appears to be steadily regaining its old momentum, albeit with the help of “the removal of entry fees and the encouragement of new formats”.

An approach focused on direct interaction between designers and buyers has proven to be a success story, and it certainly makes sense that building long-term relationships within the industry has become a key focus. This seems to herald a new and exciting direction, especially in encouraging the participation of new talent.

This time, the full range of British fashion was represented, from avant-garde debuts. st martensThe students respond to the confident offer of a handful of old guard. Erdem (People who have reached the age of 20th anniversary), Simone Rocha, Temperley London, emilia wickstead And a typical British brand burberryclosed the show with rock, chic, leather and fur styles. legendary colorist designer Roksanda This season, we held a dinner event instead of a show.

Temperley London

Think of Hollywood goddesses Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich in their 30s and 40s. I nailed the latest topics. Temperley London Offerings.

It is known for its feminine vibe, signature sequins and beads, and elegant silhouettes. Temperley London With a bevy of beauties in gorgeous gowns topped with regal leopard skin fur coats, we were wowed by a collection that transported us back to the silver screen’s most glamorous era.

Fluted sleeves, a cinched skirt at the waist, cut-out shoulders and an empire-line bust are crafted in tasteful pastel colors with an Art Deco feel, juxtaposed with glossy black accents. The intricacy of every detail and creative use of color was as impressive as the tailoring, never seen before.

Sequined palm motifs, exquisite embroidery, ornate beading, stylized floral motifs and oversized rhinestones adorn the brand’s signature sophisticated and glamorous dresses. Strappy heels and dainty boots completed the look.

And the obligatory tier to complete an already super attractive service? A one-of-a-kind leopard print fur coat, what else?

Erdem

house of Erdem I’m 20 years old. To celebrate an auspicious occasion Erdem Moralioglu has given us what we love every season: a patchwork quilt of all the signature elements that have defined one of the best-loved British brands of the past 20 years. Pure, theatrical, romantic, and full of vintage-inspired escapism.

Silk and satin, brocade and velor, 1950s-inspired florals and silhouettes, embroidered lace, crinoline hoop skirts, signature bows, opera coats and grand ball gowns were all part of the lingo for this special Fall 2026 anniversary offering.

Its looks remind us of various epic historical figures featured in romance. Erdem A story through the ages – writers, poets, singers, dancers, aristocrats… all dressed up in panniers, bustieres, full skirts and feather coats.

Of course, the brand’s signature diamond brooches, rhinestones, fluffy tulle underskirts and ribboned regalia are also featured.

What surprised me was the denim jeans and boyish black shoes that contrasted with the dreamy romanticism.

This was the perfect version of the fairy tale for a brand that has always offered the ultimate pure escape into a world of pure fantasy, often of a historical kind.

I can’t help but wonder how extravagantly decadent Moralioglu is. Erdem Is he already envisioning next year when his beloved brand officially “adults”?

emilia wickstead

emilia wickstead‘s fall 2026 muse was Fano Messin, a French actress who pretended to be a man in the 1920s to become a sculptor.

The result is a collection that embraces all aspects of menswear.

Workwear shirts with “utilitarian” large buttons and oversized pockets, typical men’s plaid and plaid trousers in muted colors, and fisherman’s knit cardigans projected an androgynous style that was quite different from what we typically see. emilia wickstead Slangy.

That said, the collection quickly evolved into the most exquisitely cut, cinched-waisted gowns with voluminous pleats, full skirts, and neat little leather pencil suits.

In terms of fabrics, the collection has grown into stunning sculptural silver brocade dresses and heavily embellished sleeveless gold lamé dresses.

The progression from fairly drab colors and masculine styles to overtly feminine silhouettes and accompanying fabric choices is a testament to design genius. emilia wicksteadShe seems to effortlessly tackle every design challenge and pull off a stroke of pure magic. All in one thought-provoking collection.

Simone Rocha

Watch Simone Rocha’s show here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lpOtrOAKQ4o

Simone Rocha She is one of those designers with such a strong brand identity that it is almost impossible to confuse her style with anyone else’s. Still, she manages to add fun surprises to her signature silhouette each season.

Simone RochaTypically inspired by Irish folklore and Celtic mythology, she painted Emberle, a white horse, the only means of transportation to the Land of Youth, or Tir na Nog.

Additionally, Irish painter Jack B. Yeats was the inspiration for the collection’s color palette.

Two other sources, the 1992 film to the westas well as the 1999 book pony kidsThis work depicts the relationship between the Irish traveling community and horses. Simone Rocha.

And here comes a new collaboration with a sportswear label adidas The combination of equestrian pursuits and sporty attire makes a lot of sense. And Rocha pulls this off effortlessly. Take, for example, the red Adidas track top she wears under her spectacular bowed ball gown. Rosettes adorn many looks, again highlighting the Adidas/equestrian theme.

As always, Simone Rocha Like most other artists, he manages to blend an almost impossible patchwork of fantasy and reality.

She mixes the sheer with the sturdy, all of which look totally flattering and extremely wearable. Military coats and dreamy tulle worn with sweatshirts and rhinestones always looked like they belonged together.

Perhaps it’s this incredible superpower that keeps us coming back to this brand season after season, hoping for more. Simone Rocha‘s amazing design brain will produce this time as well.

An ode to London’s weather! Creative director Daniel Lee cited London’s notoriously rainy weather (it’s been raining every day since the start of the new year…) as inspiration for this weather-focused series.

famous burberry The trench coat went through various iterations, including one with a particularly feminine ruffled collar. In fact, trenches came in countless shapes, some made of leather, some checked, some with fur collars, and some depicting vintage maps of London, the River Thames, etc.

But it wasn’t all about the trench coat. There were other clothes as well. Bomber jackets, track bottoms, leather pants, military coats, kilts and the most luxurious fur coats with leather belts. Everyone is watching, well, very much. burberry!

170 of the iconic British brandth This year, it seems like nothing can stop it. Key elements are swapped out, added or omitted from season to season, but the parts that make up the whole seem to forever stand the test of time.
