JLo Just Wore the Neutral Heel Colour Trend I’m Recommending Over Black

My preference for neutral colors doesn’t depend on the weather. You’re just as likely to find me dressed head to toe in black in the middle of winter as you are on the brightest day. But when summer comes around, you may want to soften your styling a little. That’s when I start reaching for softer and arguably more interesting neutral colors in my wardrobe, especially the richer brown tones.

Although less harsh than glossy black, elegant brown is my neutral color for the warmer months. And this week, I found a fellow Jennifer Lopez fan. He traded in his classic black heels for sleek cognac brown heels.

Finished with a glossy shine that felt as polished as black leather, the shoe had all the sophistication of a traditional black heel, but with a softer, more directional edge. Black might have felt a little drab against her white and beige ensemble, but the deep brown hue added warmth and depth without breaking the bright, summery palette.
