May may not be over yet, but after the scorching sun of the past few days, you’d be forgiven for thinking we’re in the middle of August. With temperatures soaring, my wardrobe has had to adapt quickly too, and for me right now that means reaching for mostly white dresses. And thanks to Jennifer Lopez, I’ve finally arrived at the shoe trend that makes shoes look their best.

Long dismissed as a bit “old-fashioned,” JLo has convinced me that raffia wedges are actually the perfect partner for white summer dresses in 2026.

I’ve always thought that raffia wedges bring a special, relaxed, yet elevated quality to an outfit, with a bit of a bohemian energy that feels especially perfect for summer. Compared to leather heels or wedges, they’re lighter and less formal, but still give you the same elegant finish. The texture of the weave adds softness, giving it an understated yet sophisticated look.
