Hailey! Lewis! Alexandra! How YSL Won the Miami Grand Prix

Today is Sunday, May 3rd. This means two things. The Met Gala is just two weeks away and the checkered flag has just waved at another F1 Miami Grand Prix. Kimi Antonelli may have taken home the trophy, but it was Saint Laurent who really took home the victory this weekend. The French fashion brand had quietly established itself everywhere in and around the Miami International Autodrome. Not because of any activation or high-profile event, but simply because the city’s most stylish people chose to wear it for the race, from vintage pieces mined from YSL’s archives to head-to-toe looks taken straight from the runway. As a result, the 2026 Miami Grand Prix featured some of the best fashion moments I’ve seen over a race weekend. goodso far. Let’s get started.

About Lewis Hamilton: saint laurent windbreaker ($3200), large fit pants ($1900), stanton derby ($1350), tie ($300), and shirt ($2200)

Before the weekend got underway in earnest, Lewis Hamilton put in his best performance in the paddock in a while – in my opinion his best since joining Scuderia Ferrari – arriving at the track for media day wearing Off the Runway Saint Laurent menswear from the brand’s Spring/Summer ’26 collection. He wore a neon orange pullover windbreaker over the brand’s silk shirt and burgundy tie. He boldly paired brown pleated pants with a black derby. It’s sharp, sophisticated, yet playful, and any Hamilton fan will tell you it’s rarer these days than ever before. We had no idea what we had when he wore no fewer than four catwalk or custom ensembles every race weekend. Now that he’s more selective, seeing Hamilton dressed up in the paddock is special, especially when outfits like this one debut.

About Hailey Bieber: Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Tops

About Alexandra Leclerc: frame casino top ($198) and casino capri ($198)

Later that day, Charles Leclerc’s wife Alexandra celebrated the release of her new book. Collaboration with FRAMEhosting an intimate dinner at Casa Tua Miami Beach with guests including Hailey Bieber, Kim Petras, and Anastasia Karanikolaou. It was there that Bieber was first spotted with Saint Laurent, which is not surprising given her long-standing role as an ambassador for the Parisian house. Seated next to Leclerc, the Lorde founder wore a rare item from the brand’s archives, a Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford scarf top from the Fall/Winter 2004 collection. It was a strong start, but wait, the YSL sightings just kept getting better from there.
