This season’s winter layering centers around familiar pieces styled with a sharper perspective, with an emphasis on proportion and texture. Below are four looks that can easily transition from day to night depending on your current mood.

Classic with movement

a poplin shirt is always a strong starting point, especially when combined with layering. silk scarf Style it in one of many ways. i like this denim and groove Add an unexpected animal print to your shoes with a simple, put-together base. ballet flats Color pops are especially effective here. a suede clutch Complete the look without conflict.

Clean lines, winter details

cozy structure

a chunky knit layered below shearling coat It’s a winter staple, especially when paired with: knee high boots To balance the volume. One of my favorite winter accessories is pillbox hat. I love how the leopard print makes a subtle statement. We also recommend incorporating patterns and colors through knits and outerwear.
