Jil Sander has long been synonymous with modernity, refinement and precision. Since taking the helm in 2017, Lucy and Luke Meyer have remade the brand’s heritage with their signature blend and romance signature. This season they bid farewell to the brand with their final collection. Their departure marks the end of a decisive era. It is a poetic softness injected with Jil Sander’s sharp tailoring to balance structure and fluidity. For their final collection, the duo provided a powerful, emotionally recharged show that felt both as a reflection on their tenure and a declaration of their aesthetic ideals.
The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection was presented in Milan, with a beautiful juxtaposition between the sides of Jil Sander. Darkness and light, toughness, delicateness – this tension was at the heart of the collection. The classic male cord was sharpened, and the severe jacket and coat was subtly confused by unexpected details such as lace inserts, studded belts and shiny finishes. Meanwhile, traditionally feminine elements (share ribbon trim, sparkling sequins, gorgeous shearling) were laid in palettes of Stark black, steel grey and deep red. This interaction between contrasts is still one of Meyer’s most impressive collections, and therefore a fitting farewell for time at home. First, take a look at everything you need to know about the Jil Sander F/W 25 Runway Show.

The edgy encounters are beautiful
Jil Sander may be synonymous with minimalism and sharp tailoring, but this season, the brand has pushed the boundaries of where the piece takes you. The collection embraced the edgy meat aesthetic and embraced the contrast that blends seamlessly. Think of a leather jacket over a silk blouse and thin socks, a large wave dress in structured outerwear, and a thick leather boot paired with dramatic knitwear. The sequins met the lace and created a harmonious balance that integrated both sides of the Jil Sander woman into one impressive vision.

The studded loafers with silver hardware belts and leather bows brought the runway to the 90s grunge elements. The delicate fringe dress, paired with edgy footwear, proved that grunge can also have soft sides. What about the gem? Strong, silver, effortlessly cool, complemented by a statement belt decorated with bold rings.
