Last night, I attended the Versace x Onitsuka Tiger gala in Soho, a chic combination of Italian luxury and traditional Japanese brands. The event spotlighted the reimagining of the iconic Tai Chi sneaker, and we have to say it was one of those moments where fashion and function came together at their best.
Sneakers stood out. Crafted from supple leather and soft suede, the sleek, understated silhouette is elevated with metallic finishes like a gold-plated toe and silver-paneled upper.

Some models featured soft pastel colors of pink, yellow and neutral tones, with contrasting stripes reminiscent of Onitsuka Tiger’s signature design. The overall feel is sophisticated yet wearable, giving a sporty classic a sophisticated Versace-level upgrade.

As someone who lives in heels and only has access to sneakers to work out, I was truly impressed. These felt like the kind of sneakers that could be styled with tailored looks, miniskirts, or even something more upscale for a day-to-night moment.

For this occasion, I wore a caramel leather Versace jacket and matching skirt set, paired with a ribbed knit top and coordinating clutch. To match her usual aesthetic, she finished the look with Le Silla lace-up heels.

This collaboration feels like a true fusion of tradition and innovation, blending craftsmanship with modern style. And if you’re like me and want a sneaker that allows you to maintain your fashion standards, this might be the one for you.
