I recently found myself packing for a weekend trip. Since luggage space was minimal, I had to think hard about what would fit in my small carry-on case. Everything was going amazingly well until it came to shoes. With fancy meals, outdoor activities, and bonding time at the pub with friends all on the agenda, it goes without saying what to wear when you actually travel, but here are some occasions to consider. there was. You can definitely wear trainers for outdoor activities, and for a fancy meal I wore my most reasonable pair of heels. And the boots are the final piece of the shoe puzzle. As I researched the pairs I own (which for a fashion editor is surprisingly low!), I found myself asking: “Which boots go with everything?”. That’s how I came up with the idea for the article you’re reading now.
What boots actually go with everything? As with all things fashion, the answer to this question is subjective. We wanted to give you a comprehensive perspective on this issue, so we asked five of our stylish colleagues which boot styles they think go with everything (or close to everything). What I didn’t expect was to get five completely different answers. In the end, there are 6, including the pair I chose for travel.
So which boots do our editors think are good for almost any boot? Scroll to find out.
6 boot styles that go with everything (or almost everything) our editors think.
1. Red boots
“Would it be unfair to say red knee-high boots? They make a boring outfit more exciting, but they can easily be used as an accent to a more colorful and complex look. Bright knee boots add a retro vibe. But red seems to be one of the easiest shades to integrate and is widely considered a “classic.” ” Hannah Almassi, Editor-in-Chief

2. Snake print boots
“Listen, snake print boots may not sound androgynous, but I can’t tell you how adding these statement boots to an outfit has not only helped, but has improved my results. Jeans, tailored pieces, skirts, dresses, etc. Just ask everyday wearers Kate Moss, Emily Ratajkowski, and Kendall Jenner for a statement print with a luxurious polish that brings it all together. ” Remy Farrell, fashion editor

3. Cowboy boots
“I know I’m a bit obsessed with cowboy style in general, but when I can’t decide which shoes to wear, I always reach for Western-inspired boots. Tucked in or neatly offset, you’ll instantly feel fashionable with a floaty dress or cowboy boots.I tend to stick to neutral colors for maximum versatility. But I’m also tempted by ZARA’s burgundy. 4. Square toe boots
“I’m amazed at the bold, statement styles that my colleagues have proposed here. I’m definitely going to try them out myself, but when it comes to my choices, I’m going to take things back to basics. I’m open to anything” Square The toe and very low heel are incredibly versatile. I can’t wear high heels due to scoliosis, but I feel that square toes help dress up any outfit (dresses, skirts, jeans, etc.). When your heels are low. ” Brittany Davey, Editorial Assistant

5. Simple pull-on boots
“For me, it’s this style of wide-leg boot that hits mid-calf or just below the knee. It still has a little bit of height, so it looks great with dresses and skirts, but you can also wear it with jeans or pants. It looks really cool.” I love the simple design and cut, which makes it feel really versatile and fresh. I just bought a pair and can definitely say they go with everything. ” Natalie Munro, News Writer

6. Pointed toe knee boots
Well, that’s my choice. In my case, the knee-highs with a pointed toe are what I always wear during the cold season. I often wear wide pants or jeans, so I don’t have a problem wearing them inside, but pairing them with skirts or dresses gives me a cheeky look. And who doesn’t want more sass in their life? My preference is black, but I don’t mind processing it. Leather shoes get a lot of wear and tear, so this suede style from H&M is next on my wish list.
