Frank Castle is back, and this time it’s personal and perhaps final (at least that’s what Marvel would like you to think). Scheduled to be distributed in May as a “Marvel Television Special Presentation.” Punisher: One Last Kill Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle. Frank Castle is drawn back into the fight by an unexpected force, searching for meaning beyond revenge. Over the past few years, the MCU has been steadily bringing back Netflix-era street heroes, with Bernthal’s The Punisher, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, and Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones each re-entering the world in one form or another.

Bernthal’s Frankcastle was perhaps the most unstable work of that comeback. After reappearing in Daredevil: Born Againwhere he meets Matt Murdock again and is drawn back into the New York criminal underworld, but Frank is now back. Punisher: One Last KillAnd this time, it’s a brutal, grounded, and deeply personal story about a final mission that forces him to confront the toll his crime-fighting has really taken on him. The studio recently showed off the first trailer and confirmed a May release date, but here’s everything we know so far Punisher: One Last KillIntroducing the release date, episodes, cast, etc.

Punisher: One Last Kill: release date

Punisher: One Last Kill is scheduled to stream on Disney+ on May 12, 2026arriving as a “Marvel Television Special Presentation.” The special, directed by Reynaldo Marcus Green and co-written by Jon Bernthal with Green, marks Bernthal’s return to the role of Frank Castle after appearing in Frank Castle. Daredevil: Reborn, prior to his return Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

It wouldn’t be a Punisher story without Jon Bernthal in the lead role. Punisher: One Last Kill He returns as Frank Castle, a former Marine turned vigilante known as the Punisher. Mila James, who plays Charlie, and Ro Lancel, who plays Dennis, will also be joining the cast, both newcomers to Frank’s orbit, but details of their roles have not yet been revealed. Rounding out the ensemble is the expected appearance of Ma Gnucci, a well-known figure in the comics and one of The Punisher’s most notorious crime family antagonists.

He added: “Ennis and Steve Dillon have given us a character with a clear purpose and absolute commitment, one who puts his sense of loss into action with brutal honesty. It’s that ferocity and vulnerability that makes Frank endure.” The Gnucci family is also expected to play a role in the MCU version, with Ma Gnucci reportedly appearing in live-action for the first time.

Is there a trailer for Punisher: One Last Kill?

Yes, there is. Marvel recently released the first full trailer for the movie Punisher: One Last KillAnd we won’t waste any time reminding you exactly which version of Frank Castle we’re dealing with. The trailer begins with a quieter, more damaged Frank, lonely and obviously haunted by memories from his past, including painful memories of his deceased family.

We also see him engulfed in flames, cutting through enemies armed with unrelenting force, before a moment of hallucinations and mental breakdowns begins, suggesting this is something far more personal than just another mission. Jason R. Moore returns as Curtis Hoyle in a hallucinatory scene that forces Frank to confront who he has become.

There’s plenty of action, too, as Frank goes full Punisher mode, defeating enemies, navigating fiery environments, and protecting civilians. The trailer ends with Frank, fully suited up as the Punisher, raising his weapon and firing straight into the camera.
