Sad13, the project of Speedy Ortiz’s Sadie Dupuis, has a new project in the works. It’s a mixtape called 1331contains 13 “one-minute-ish” songs, three of which were released today: “Am Now Completely Invisible,” “Art Institute,” and “Watermelon Manicure.” Listen below.

Dupuis wrote, recorded, and performed the entire album, playing electric guitar, baritone guitar, and acoustic guitar, as well as bass, piano, synths, organ, percussion, and more. But in June 2024, he broke his elbow in a bicycle accident, requiring reconstructive surgery and a year of rehabilitation. “There was no juice in my body,” she commented. “But by tracking it piecemeal over time, we were able to get a broader impact.”
