July 25, 2026, Artist from Taiwan Yatin Kao Her latest solo exhibition is scheduled to be held. folds of time. This exhibition examines the relationship between artistic creation and the passage of time through a series of works centered on flowers in various stages of deterioration. Kao draws particular attention to faded and shriveled flowers, treating them as symbols of patience and change.
Kao’s new works on paper are large-scale compositions that combine oil pastels, watercolors, and inks. The layered materials reflect processes of change in nature and human experience, creating richly textured compositions that blur the boundaries between the primal and the ephemeral. In these works, Hanao seeks to capture what she describes as the “folds” of time.
Kao holds a master’s degree in painting from Taipei National University of the Arts and has exhibited her work in museums across Taiwan, including the Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and the Kaohsiung Fine Arts Museum. Founded in 2014, Nunu Fine Art has built an international program celebrating artists from Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and will expand to New York in 2023, becoming the first Taiwanese gallery to open a contemporary gallery space in New York.
