This July, Marvel Comics will celebrate Disability Pride Month with all-new stories featuring heroes who represent the strength and empowerment of the disabled community. author Marieke Nijkamp (Hawkeye: Kate Bishop) Painted by Andrea Di Vito (Emma Frost: White Queen), this story is told in a special back-up story over four issues. Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men, Fantastic Four, Wolverine. Each issue may feature one of several artists on the cover, including Jamie McKelvey, David Mack, Aaron Kuder, Reinil Francis Yu, and Steven Segovia.

Iconic characters like Daredevil, Misty Knight, Echo, Finesse, Silhouette, and Hawkeye are spotlighted despite their various disabilities. This group of heroes comes together to save Colleen Wing from a deadly threat in an action-packed story that highlights the power of community and uplifts each other.

“It may sound a little cheesy to say this is a dream project, but for these stories I got to assemble an incredible roster of heroes and write an epic adventure about the strength of community. It truly was a dream come true,” Nijkamp said.

“Superheroes inspire us to be better, but sometimes we forget that the greatest inspiration comes from real life,” Di Vito said. “People with disabilities prove to each of us that the true measure of our worth is not our physical limitations, but our spirit and will.”

“I am delighted to be working with Marike Nijkamp,” he added. “Their work speaks with a true voice and shines through every character they write.”
