This September, Marvel Zombies is back. Marvel Zombies: War ZoneAnd this time, it won’t be Earth’s Mightiest Heroes who save the day, but Earth’s Toughest! Announced today on Fangoria, the five-issue limited series will be written by Tom Waltz and illustrated by Jaime Infante, who is making his Marvel Comics debut.
The latest Marvel Zombies nightmare begins after the Avengers and the Fantastic Four fail to stop a zombie plague that ravages New York City. Now sealed off as a dangerous quarantine zone, humanity’s last hope rests with the Punisher and a team of street-level heroes, including Luke Cage, Elektra, Iron Fist, and Moon Knight. This ragtag group of fearsome heroes must work together to uncover the source of the infection and break through the barrier before it engulfs everything.
Zombies have invaded Manhattan, and the entire city is quickly overrun. As Earth’s Mightiest Heroes succumb to the virus, barriers are hastily erected to protect the world. But inside the barrier, a war zone has broken out, and the survivors are fighting for their lives against the ever-growing horde. But one man isn’t just looking to survive. He searches for answers as he carves bloody territory through the ruined city. And what if zombies get in his way? Yes, the Punisher has a lot of edible lead!
