Open letter to the new chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ken Martin:

Dear Mr. Martin,

In this dangerous historic moment in the hands of those who destroy it, isn’t it time to recognise and respect the resilient, loyal blue dot constituency of the Red State?

These are people who are surrounded by MAGA voters, whose numbers are surrounded and who bravely stand up to democracy every election.

To that end, I suggest you convene a regular collection of blue dots that bring together representatives of dozens or more locales. Given their behind-the-scenes experience, these representatives can provide some important insights into how to nurture more democratic votes in hostile environments. It could also serve as an effective soundboard for new messaging.

The state of the Red House of Blue Dots will not immediately turn loyalty. But on election maps that count every county, these determined blue souls could become a surprising pioneer in the fight to save America.

If you choose blue dot sights to start this new company, I humbly suggest Indianapolis. Other places to consider – proposed by the vote share of presidential candidates for 2024 – includes…
