Duran Duran have teamed up with longtime collaborator Nile Rodgers to release their first new song of 2026. “Love freely”. In a press release, Simon Le Bon describes this sophisticated dance track as “2020s disco.” Check it out in the accompanying video below.
“Every time you connect to Nile and play, your entire city could be lit up with the electricity it generates,” commented Nick Rhodes. “We share a common belief that music is a force for good and brings positive energy to the world. ‘Free to Love’ is our call to all who wish to spread peace, hope and understanding. It is an ode to freedom, the most precious currency we have and one that should be truly freely available to everyone, everywhere. ‘Free to Love’ “Love” has a simple message: There is nothing more important than freedom and love, and we certainly need more of both in the world.
Rodgers added, “True love is free and unconditional. My love for Duran Duran, and the music we’ve made together, is the love we share in the deepest meanings of our songs. No matter what turmoil is going on outside, inside the studio we’re free to love at peace.”
