Angel tarot cards are essentially just tarot cards with artwork featuring angels or with angel-themed artwork.
The Angel Tarot deck follows the traditional 78-card Tarot structure and system (some more directly than others), with 22 Major Arcana cards, 40 Minor Arcana cards, and 16 It differs from the Angel Oracle cards in that it is divided into court cards.
(The basic structure is the same as the most popular Rider-Waite Tarot).

Rider – Waite Tarot
First of all, I can’t share a guide to tarot cards without mentioning the Rider-Waite Tarot.
While the Rider Tarot is not specifically an Angel Tarot deck, it is the most commonly used tarot deck today, so it is a good one to consider, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned tarot reader. This is actually the standard deck used in books and even websites that teach Tarot.
If you are reading Tarot for the first time, this deck is a great place to start, as you will learn not only the basic meanings of the cards, but also the system and symbolism. Once you understand the tarot system, it will be easy to develop it into many themed tarot decks that you can choose from today.
It is also believed to be the first modern tarot deck commissioned by Waite and illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith.
There is no angel theme in this deck, but of course you can also invite angels into your tarot reading and use tarot to enhance and enhance your angelic intuition.

Angel tarot influence
Jody Boginski’s Angelic Influence Tarot is a thoughtfully executed 78-card tarot deck with angelic artwork.
Nothing is “diluted” or altered as is common with other Angel Tarot systems, and it follows the structure of the Rider-Waite Tarot.
The angelic artwork on the card is a classic fine art style collage that closely follows the iconic image structure of the Rider-Waite system.
The Major Arcana depicts angels with different names corresponding to each card (explained in the guidebook). So, the Moon card features Archangel Raphael.
The Minor Arcana image depicts a scene that closely mirrors the Rider-Waite cards, but with the same classic art style and an angel somewhere in the scene.
The images on the court cards are of actual historical figures that correspond to the card’s meaning, which is an interesting additional layer.
Overall, this is an Angel Tarot deck for beginners, but one that you can really go deep into.
Also included is a 184-page illustrated guidebook with detailed card meanings, angelic correspondents, and insight into card imagery and symbolism, so you can really understand and intuitively understand this deck. You can read it.
angel tarot cards
of angel tarot cards Originally published by Doreen Virtue and Radley Valentine. It has since been republished with Radley Valentine as sole author.
This is a complete 78-card tarot deck with beautiful artwork featuring angels, mermaids, unicorns, and fairies by talented artist Steve A. Roberts.
One of the selling points of the author of this deck is that the Angel Tarot can be used without any of the negativity or ego-based nature that is common in traditional tarot card decks. It was designed to be “100% gentle, safe and reliable.” For example, the Rider Tarot’s “Fool Card” has been changed to “Dreamer” in this deck. The shocking tarot card “Tower” has been changed to “Life Experience” and the “Devil” card has been changed to “Ego”. .
Beautiful and magical imagery is also used throughout the deck, so (almost) every card is lifted through beautiful visual imagery to inspire and provide insight. I say mostly because there are some cards that I don’t really like…
In the Angel Tarot deck, each major arcana card is associated with an archangel and his or her particular area of expertise and is very useful to know.
Other changes when compared to traditional tarot decks include the suits. Tarot is usually divided into Cups, Wands, Swords, and Pentacles.
The suits of the Angel Tarot have been changed to Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. These are the elements associated with each suit in the standard Tarot, so it’s not a huge change…the artwork and symbols both respect and deviate from the standard. rider waite tarot cards.
Angel Tarot Written by Travis McHenry
I really wanted this Angel Tarot deck by Travis McHenry, but I was disappointed.
Deviating slightly from the traditional Rider-Waite structure, this deck contains 72 cards, each corresponding to the 72 angels of Kabbalah. Each of the 72 cards features a traditional seal (think angel magic cards). I love this part!
In a way, this deck is a great introduction to the 72 angels of Kabbalah. Because they’re all there, and the seal is included in one place. However, other than that, I felt this deck was lacking.
Neither the cards nor the guidebook give any real information about the 72 angels other than their names and seals.
The artwork is also very minimalistic, which I think is misleading in terms of the energetic nature and characteristics of the angels (many of the cards have a dark flavor/atmosphere).
Since this is a tarot deck, the cards are marked with a correspondence to traditional tarot structure. In other words. The Archangel Michael card is said to represent a chariot…but the connection is not clear, making this deck difficult to use for readings.
“Angel Tarot” by Jayne Wallace
Jayne Wallace’s Angel Tarot is a complete 78-card tarot deck with beautiful angel images. A full-color guidebook with card descriptions is also included.
The angel illustrations in this deck are beautifully illustrated in a bright, watercolor style, especially on the major arcana cards and court cards (King, Queen, Page).
Unfortunately, the remaining minor arcana cards (cups, pentacles, swords, and wands) don’t have the same quality of artwork and have a repetitive feel to them. For example, the entire suit of cups (10 cards) has the same design. There are simple blue wings in the background and 1 to 10 cups in the foreground of the card. Compared to the richness of symbolism in the Rider-Waite Tarot, for example, this is very lacking and lacks important visual cues, making the cards very difficult to read intuitively. .
That said, if you’re looking for a deck to do light tarot readings based on guidebook instructions, this might be a good option. The guidebook’s explanations are light, gentle, and angelic, not as “harsh” as other tarot decks are perceived to be.
angel wisdom tarot
Angel Wisdom Tarot is Radleigh Valentine’s newest (completely self-made) deck, illustrated by Daniel Craig and published by Hay House.
Featuring angelic images with lots of symbolism intentionally included on each card, they help add depth and meaning to your readings. I love that it includes images showing each card’s astrological correspondence, archangel associations, and major arcana associations.
The Angel Wisdom Tarot primarily follows the Rider-Waite system, but some cards have been changed to “soften” their meanings. In other words. Fools turn into dreamers. Sobriety cards will be changed to balances, etc.
Each card also has a description written on the card. I don’t really like this in my decks because I like to read intuitively, but it’s become somewhat of a standard in Hay House decks, and it makes card reading more Can be beginner friendly. Tarot.
This deck includes a guidebook that intentionally provides positive and uplifting meanings to guide your reading.
