the gift of spiritual discernment
It’s called your discernment.
Discernment, simply put, is the ability to judge for yourself what information is useful to you, what is useful to you, and what is not.
The gift of spiritual discernment is extremely important as you progress on your spiritual path, the path of ascension, and as you connect with your spirit guides and angels to receive guidance and support from them in your life.
When listening to spiritual teachings from me, messages I share, or from other spiritual teachers, authors, and guides who share their gifts, light, and messages with the world. Discernment is also key.

Difference between judgment and discernment
By “discernment” I am not talking about judging the teachers we hear or see as good or bad, right or wrong.
Instead, I’m talking about working with the teachers and information that will best help you navigate your unique path…where you are right now..
To tap into your gift of insight, ask the following questions:
- Is this information aligned with my highest direction and intentions?
- Will this information help me and support what I’m trying to create?
- Is this information relevant to what I’m trying to create?
If you ask yourself these questions as you go through the process, you’ll find that 80% of the information applies perfectly to your work, but there are a few that don’t really resonate with you.
This doesn’t mean you need to throw out the entire book or teacher. It simply means adopting what works for you and letting go of the rest.
Or as Bruce Lee would say: “Absorb what is useful, throw away what is useless, and add your own uniqueness.”
How to determine if a message serves your highest self
Discernment is very important when you begin to listen to information from your guides and angels.
why?
Because the process of discernment allows us to know if something is truly divine guidance or if it is actually the ego, a lower vibrational entity, a lower manifestation.
Here you use discernment by tuning into the vibration and energy of the actual message.
Feeling uplifted? Do you feel empowered? Does it matter?
If so, use it, implement it, and enjoy the benefits of messaging.
If not… let it go.

So when a guide comes to share their knowledge with you, ask: “Who am I reaching out to? Are you middle-of-the-road and have the highest light of Christ? Are you here to serve according to my highest and greatest good? ?
If the answer is no, they have Then they will be released and deflected.
You can then refocus the golden light within your heart and call upon the higher vibrational guidance that will assist you on your path to ascension.
Use discernment wisely
- When you come across new information, whether it be a person, a spirit guide, a book, or reading online, ask: “Is this a waiter? Is this true for me? Will this support my path? Will this be helpful?
- If the answer is yes, then incorporate what you are learning into your life and take action based on the guidance.
- If the answer is no, know that you can release that information and move on.
If much of what a particular author or teacher shares doesn’t resonate with you, that’s a good sign that that teacher isn’t for you.
That doesn’t mean they’re bad, it just means they’re not suitable for your path, your highest intentions and purposes at this time.
