Poetry: About separation
Written by Dr. Archan Mehta
It’s time to say goodbye, but I’m not
I understand why you sigh when shaking hands
With you: Maybe it’s because I feel
I get blue when I think I might never be able to do it again.
See you soon, friend. we go back a long way
Way: We were kids who played a lot.
A paper boat floating on a clear blue lake.
I remember what I would do for you
Please provide fruits for your satisfaction
A glass to quench hunger and thirst
Water too. we were faithful to our childhood
Once upon a time, but sadly, time has passed.
Moving forward, so must we: the farewell is felt
It’s like it’s written in our destiny.
Still, I will continue to live with hope
I’m optimistic about the chances of a reunion:
We are soul travelers and therefore eternal friends.
