Honest Review of Keepers of the Light Oracle Cards
The Keepers of the Light oracle cards have caught my attention since they were first published in 2016…
However, I have never had the opportunity to experience them myself.
Oracle cards hold a special place in my heart. I think they are such a fun and beautiful way to interact with spirit and tap into the very real and very deep magic of the higher realms…
Additionally, it is an excellent way to access angelic guidance and higher divine wisdom, both for complete beginners and for much more advanced seekers.
I think there are so many oracle card decks out there that it can be difficult to determine what the different decks actually look like when shopping online. That’s why I’m going to start sharing more oracle card reviews to help you decide which cards are right for you. They fit you like a glove!
Guardian of Light Oracle Card Review
The Keepers of the Light Oracle is a 45-card deck by Kyle Gray and Lily Moses published by Hay House.
This deck features a variety of angels, ascended masters, gods, and goddesses on each card. The collective group of beings featured in this deck are called the Keepers of Light.
If you use this deck with the express intention of connecting with your guides, angels, and ascended masters…and with the collective of beings featured in the deck…each master mentioned in this deck… The possibilities are truly endless when you truly connect and learn from it. .
However, after using this deck for the past few days, I have to say that it is a very easy to use deck…but not necessarily necessary for detailed intuitive oracle card reading…
Let’s take a closer look.
45 cards are really beautiful!
What impresses me most about this deck is the gorgeous artwork by Lily Moses. Each of the 45 cards displays a portrait of one of the Keepers of Light looking out at you.
The artwork is vibrant and detailed, which I actually really like. This artwork truly brings each of these beautiful spiritual beings to life and you can see their light shining on you through their detailed eyes.
They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and they carry the code of awakening… so I love how they really stand out and make you feel connected.
In addition to portraits of angels, ascended masters, gods, and goddesses, each card has several visual elements that correspond to the archetypes represented.
These small visual additions are very important for triggering deeper intuitive guidance. I wish the portraits were a little more distant visually, as I don’t think they evoke deeper intuition…but alas, the portraits are very beautiful.
The cards also have the corresponding entity’s name printed on them, along with a brief card title and a short two-sentence message for guidance.
Individual card titles cover a variety of themes and are important for getting clear guidance from your oracle card deck.
Card themes include:
“Sacred Alchemy, Infinite Abundance, Care and Compassion, Devotion, Stages and Cycles, Facing Fear, Soul Expansion, Inner Strength, Raising Consciousness, Call to Action, Forgiveness, Voice of Truth, Wisdom Mantle, Psychic Insight, Divine Healing, Dharma Expansion, Divine Order, Connection to Earth, Focused Intention, Expecting Miracles, Soul Flame, Trusting Heaven, Teacher’s Awakening, Magical Manifestation, Ascension. , benevolence, transcendence…etc.”
Two short sentences printed on the card provide additional intuitive triggers regarding the card’s meaning. They are short, gentle, and general…meant to trigger more within you…and they do.

What’s included (and what isn’t)?
The 45 Keepers of the Light oracle cards (size 3.5″ x 5″), which is pretty standard for a HayHouse deck, come in a small box of about the same size (perfect fit) and come with a small guidebook. I am.
I think when the card was released in 2016 it had a gold guild edge, but there seemed to be an issue with the card peeling off, and the version I bought in 2018 didn’t have the gold guide edge. did.
The guidebook’s artwork matches the box cover and features an image of the “Holy Amethyst – Divine Alchemy Card.”
Guardian of Light Oracle Card Meaning
The Keepers of the Light guidebook follows most Hay House oracle guidebooks in that it includes short, light introductory instructions about the purpose of the cards and how to use them to complete a reading.
Kyle Gray has an interesting Life Path spread in his guidebook that he says was created specifically for use with this deck…I enjoyed reading it.
However, what I found interesting about this deck was that it made me want to know more about the guidebook, which honestly surprised me.
If you’ve read my previous post about oracle cards, you’ll know that I don’t usually even like to read oracle cards using a guidebook, but simply use the cards as visual triggers to directly intuitively read them. You know I like to get insight. I teach the Angel Intuition course.
But with this particular deck, you’re really connecting with the eyes and energies of different beings, and not just reading the card titles and gentle guidance…
There’s not much to deviate from, so I wanted to read the guidebook to learn more about the Keepers of Light. I will go into more depth and detail about the stories, their typical symbolism, their challenges, and their key features and qualities that will help you better understand the wisdom and messages they convey and connect more deeply with the deck. I was expecting it.
Guidebooks do not contain much of this information. Rather, it’s a sweet and cute little message of guidance…some people may be looking for that, but I wanted the accompanying guidebook to be more in-depth.
I found that the expanded meaning and insight into the various archetypes lacked the richness and depth that I was hoping for.
These cards are beautiful, but if you want to use them as your primary oracle cards to complete deep, deep and accurate readings, you may want to do some additional research (external or internal) to really know the existence of each one highlighted. I think you’ll need one or the other. This deck allows you to truly understand their archetypes and deeper philosophies and teachings.
This is totally doable if you really resonate with this deck and its imagery. You can read in depth about each Keeper of Light to really get to know them, their gifts, symbols, and deeper meanings.
As with any deck, it’s important to understand your deck.
So is knowing yourself…
If what you’re looking for is cards that introduce you to different spiritual beings from different religions and cultures…this could be a great deck for you.
Follow your intuition!
Overall, the cards are definitely beautiful and I’m happy to have them in my collection, but if I had to choose just one deck to read, this wouldn’t be my choice. But just because you feel drawn to them doesn’t mean they can’t be yours…
