Egypt’s Energy System
The Ancient Egyptians recognized the existence of energy centers known as “djed pillars” or “sacred spines”, which were thought to be essential for the awakening and ascension of the soul. These djed pillars correspond to the chakra-like energy centers found in other mystical traditions, emphasizing the universal nature of energy anatomy.
Djed pillars were considered powerful conduits of divine energy and were closely associated with the spine or spinal column. They represented the connection between the earthly and divine realms and symbolized the channels through which spiritual energy flowed. It was believed that by aligning and activating these energy centers, one could raise one’s consciousness, connect with higher realms of existence, and attain spiritual enlightenment.
Throat Chakra – Vishuddha:
A journey through the chakra system and exploration of the energy centers reveals the universal presence of these profound aspects of our energetic anatomy. The chakra system has seven major energy centers along the central pathway of the body, each associated with specific qualities and attributes that can guide us on a transformational path towards self-realization, spiritual growth and the integration of our physical, emotional and mental aspects. Find out more about the chakra system here.
Energy centers are not bound by cultural or religious boundaries, but rather are threads woven into the fabric of our common human experience. By embracing the teachings and practices of Ancient Egyptian mysticism, Sufi traditions, Gnostic teachings, and Kabbalistic practices, we broaden our perspective and embrace the universality of energy centers. Through this holistic integration, we open the door to personal transformation, spiritual growth, and a deeper connection with our divine essence that resides within.
Energy centers function as universal gateways to spiritual growth and self-transcendence.
